Description

A wholesale electronics distributor serving major national retailers is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper to support daily accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and capable of handling multiple accounting functions while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Enter invoices accurately into the company’s ERP system
• Process vendor payments and maintain payment schedules
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on customer payments
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate general accounting records and documentation
• Support ongoing accounting and bookkeeping operations

Payroll Administration

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Maintain payroll records and related documentation
• Coordinate payroll-related inquiries and reporting as needed

Retailer Chargebacks & Reporting

• Research and resolve retailer chargebacks and deductions
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding disputes
• Track chargeback activity and maintain supporting documentation
• Generate royalty reports for licensed product programs

Qualifications

• Prior bookkeeping and accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Experience working with ERP systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
