Position Overview

A growing apparel company in New York, NY is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and hands-on Production Assistant / Production Coordinator to join its team. This position plays an important role in supporting the apparel production process and ensuring products move efficiently from development through final production and delivery.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of all aspects of apparel production, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and is comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate the apparel production process from development through final delivery.
  • Communicate and follow up regularly with factories, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Track production schedules, samples, approvals, and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor production status and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
  • Coordinate fabric, trims, colors, packaging, labels, and other production components.
  • Assist with sample development and track fit samples, pre-production samples, and production approvals.
  • Review production details to ensure specifications and requirements are being followed accurately.
  • Maintain organized production calendars, tracking sheets, purchase orders, and related documentation.
  • Work closely with design, sales, product development, sourcing, and production teams.
  • Communicate production updates, delays, and potential issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Help identify and resolve production issues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate with factories and vendors regarding quantities, pricing, timelines, and shipment information.
  • Maintain accurate product and production information across internal systems and spreadsheets.
  • Manage multiple styles, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Assist with additional production and operational responsibilities as needed.
