Position Overview

A senior-focused program in Brooklyn is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Senior Activities Companion to spend time with older adults and help keep them socially engaged through games, conversation, and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Spend quality time with seniors and provide friendly companionship.
• Play board games, card games, puzzles, and other recreational games.
• Engage seniors in conversation and encourage social interaction.
• Help organize and participate in fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage seniors to stay mentally and socially active.
• Assist with arts and crafts, music, group activities, and other recreational programs.
• Help set up and clean up activities and games.
• Encourage participation while respecting each individual's interests and abilities.
• Maintain a positive, patient, and respectful environment.
• Build friendly and professional relationships with seniors.
• Work cooperatively with staff and assist with activities as needed.
• Be reliable and consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
