Position Overview

A growing law firm in Cedarhurst, NY is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its transactional practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters involving real estate, corporate, healthcare, title, and business transactions.

The firm is open to candidates at various experience levels. A formal paralegal certificate is not required. Candidates with experience as a paralegal, title coordinator, legal assistant, or in a related transactional role are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and capable of managing multiple transactions and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with real estate, corporate, healthcare, title, and other business transactions.
  • Support transactions from initial documentation through closing and post-closing.
  • Prepare, organize, review, and maintain transaction-related documents and files.
  • Assist with real estate and title-related documentation and coordination.
  • Track transaction deadlines, outstanding documents, approvals, and closing requirements.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, counterparties, and other professionals.
  • Assist with corporate documents, organizational records, agreements, and transaction materials.
  • Conduct document review and help ensure files are complete and accurate.
  • Prepare closing checklists and assist with closing and post-closing documentation.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical matter files.
  • Follow up with relevant parties regarding outstanding information and documentation.
  • Assist attorneys with due diligence and transaction-related research.
  • Manage multiple active matters while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide additional legal and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in real estate, title, corporate, healthcare, business transactions, or related legal work is helpful.
  • Candidates with paralegal or title coordination experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
