Position Overview

A growing wholesale company in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Wholesale Sales Representative to manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level to high-level retail accounts.

This position is ideal for a proven wholesale sales professional who understands how to develop strong customer relationships, manage established accounts, identify new opportunities, and consistently drive revenue.

The ideal candidate has previous wholesale sales experience, strong industry relationships, and the ability to confidently work with larger and more established accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level and high-level wholesale accounts.
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with buyers and retail partners.
• Identify and pursue new wholesale business opportunities.
• Prospect and develop relationships with new accounts.
• Present products, collections, and new opportunities to buyers.
• Manage the sales process from initial outreach through order placement and follow-up.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and order opportunities as appropriate.
• Maintain consistent communication with existing accounts.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales within current customers.
• Reactivate and develop underperforming or inactive accounts.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure orders and customer needs are handled efficiently.
• Maintain an organized pipeline of current and prospective business.
• Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for additional growth.
• Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
• Attend meetings, trade shows, and other industry events as needed.
• Meet and exceed established sales and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Previous wholesale sales experience required.
• Experience managing mid-level and/or high-level retail accounts.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with buyers and decision-makers.
• Strong track record of generating and growing wholesale business.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable prospecting and developing new accounts.
• Ability to independently manage an established book of business.
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
• Results-driven and comfortable working toward sales goals.
• Existing relationships within the wholesale or retail industry are a strong plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
