Position Overview

A growing apparel company is seeking a highly accomplished Vice President of Sales to lead and expand its sales organization across multiple clothing categories.

This is a senior leadership position for a proven apparel sales executive who combines strong industry relationships with the ability to lead a team, drive revenue, develop strategy, and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the company's sales team.
• Develop and execute sales strategies focused on significant revenue growth.
• Manage and expand relationships with key retail and wholesale accounts.
• Identify and pursue new accounts, channels, and business opportunities.
• Establish sales goals, KPIs, forecasts, and performance expectations.
• Coach and mentor sales representatives to improve individual and team performance.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the apparel market, customers, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
• Work across multiple apparel and clothing categories.
• Oversee sales pipelines and ensure consistent account follow-up.
• Utilize CRM systems, reporting tools, and technology to improve sales performance and visibility.
• Partner with ownership and senior leadership on pricing, strategy, forecasting, and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with merchandising, production, operations, and other departments.
• Negotiate high-level deals and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
• Recruit and develop sales talent as the organization grows.
• Take ownership of overall sales performance and results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant apparel sales experience required.
• Relevant industry experience must include substantial experience within the past 5 years.
• Proven success in a senior sales or sales leadership position.
• Strong background in apparel, clothing, wholesale, or related categories.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Proven track record of generating revenue and growing major accounts.
• Strong relationships and understanding of the apparel marketplace.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
