Description

A leading nonprofit organization is seeking an organized, personable, and customer-focused Administrative Coordinator to support its summer programming department. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative operations, managing communications, supporting staff and families, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the department.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and maintain department operations, procedures, and administrative workflows
• Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls through the summer department phone line
• Monitor and manage multiple high-volume email inboxes and respond to inquiries promptly
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to families, staff, and program participants
• Assist with summer staff onboarding and contract administration processes
• Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence as needed
• Coordinate and distribute mass email communications
• Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation
• Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration
• Schedule meetings, coordinate calendars, and provide administrative support to department staff
• Handle special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Jewish summer camps and camp programming
• Experience in administrative support, office coordination, customer service, or nonprofit operations
• Experience managing multiple communication channels and high-volume correspondence
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of families, staff, and community members
