Children's Home and Family Services is seeking a friendly, organized, and self-motivated Human Resources Secretary to support the HR department. This role plays a key part in staff onboarding and provides essential administrative support in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and facilitate a smooth, welcoming onboarding process for new hires

  • Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and in compliance prior to start dates

  • Schedule appointments for document review, fingerprinting, and background clearances

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems and physical personnel files

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the HR team as needed

Specific Qualifications and/or Requirements:
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • High attention to detail and professionalism when working with staff

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and learning new software systems

  • Prior HR or administrative experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Salary:

$19.00–$20.00 per hour
