Position Overview

A growing national service company is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Specialist to join its expanding sales team.

The Sales Specialist will engage with prospective customers, identify their needs, explain available service options, and convert qualified leads into new customers. This position involves a combination of inbound sales opportunities and outbound follow-up, with responsibility for guiding prospects through the sales process from initial conversation through enrollment.

The ideal candidate is confident, persuasive, customer-focused, and motivated by achieving sales goals and earning commission.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Engagement
  • Respond promptly to inbound leads and inquiries.
  • Conduct outbound calls and follow up with prospective customers.
  • Build rapport and identify each prospect's needs, concerns, and priorities.
  • Educate prospective customers about available plans, services, coverage options, and benefits.
  • Recommend appropriate solutions based on individual customer needs.
  • Clearly communicate the value and benefits of available services.
  • Answer questions and confidently address customer objections.
  • Guide prospects through the entire sales process from initial contact through enrollment.
  • Provide a professional and positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Pipeline & Performance
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Follow up consistently with leads to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Work toward and achieve individual sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and overall sales performance.
  • Maintain persistence and professionalism throughout the follow-up process.
  • Participate in ongoing sales coaching, training, and performance-development activities.
CRM & Documentation
  • Accurately document customer interactions and sales activity within the company's CRM system.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, enrollments, and sales outcomes.
  • Keep prospect information and pipeline activity current.
  • Stay informed about products, services, pricing, promotions, and company policies.
  • Follow established sales processes, compliance requirements, and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to help ensure a smooth transition from prospect to customer.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, call center, or a related role preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and professional phone presence.
  • Strong persuasion, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust with prospective customers.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven sales environment.
  • Strong follow-up, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and other sales technology.
  • Ability to quickly learn products and clearly explain their features and benefits.
