Graphic Packaging Designer

Description
A growing consumer products company is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Graphic Packaging Designer to develop innovative, retail-driven packaging across kitchen, beauty, personal care, and other consumer categories. This role blends strong graphic design skills with a merchandising mindset to create packaging that stands out in competitive retail environments, particularly within off-price and mass-market channels.

What You’ll Do
• Design compelling packaging systems including boxes, backer cards, PDQs, and gift sets
• Develop brand-consistent graphics across multiple product lines
• Create print-ready artwork with a full understanding of dielines, materials, and production specifications
• Build CAD presentations and mockups for buyer meetings
• Design packaging optimized for retail impact, shelf presence, and value perception
• Collaborate with overseas factories to communicate design intent and approve production samples
• Maintain and organize packaging files, templates, and brand guidelines

Requirements
• 3–7+ years of experience in packaging design (beauty, consumer goods, or retail preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Experience working with dielines, print production, and packaging materials
• Ability to design both premium and value-oriented retail packaging
• Strong understanding of color, typography, and layout for physical products
• Experience creating PDQs, multi-pack sets, and giftable packaging
• Knowledge of off-price retail requirements is a strong plus
