Position Overview

A Brooklyn-based organization is seeking a creative and reliable Content Creator / Video Editor to assist with filming and producing engaging social media content.

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for someone with a strong eye for content and visual storytelling who is comfortable filming high-quality content using an iPhone and editing videos for social media.

The position is approximately 10 hours per week, although hours may vary depending on the week's content needs. Much of the work can be completed independently and on a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Film high-quality photo and video content using an iPhone.
  • Create engaging short-form content for social media.
  • Edit videos into polished, ready-to-post content.
  • Select strong shots, clips, angles, and moments from raw footage.
  • Add appropriate transitions, text, music, and other editing elements.
  • Help develop creative ideas and concepts for new content.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional visual style.
  • Organize raw footage and completed content.
  • Complete editing assignments independently and within agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Stay aware of current social media content styles and trends.
  • Collaborate on content needs while bringing creative ideas to the table.
Qualifications
  • Strong eye for visual content, composition, and storytelling.
  • Comfortable filming professional-looking content with an iPhone.
  • Video editing skills required.
  • Familiarity with editing platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software is a plus.
  • Understanding of short-form social media content.
  • Creative and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable and responsive when coordinating projects.
  • Previous content creation, social media, photography, or video experience is preferred.
  • Portfolio or examples of previous content are a plus.
