A growing retail company in New York, NY is seeking an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, lead the sales team, and drive overall store performance.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who understands both the operational and people-management sides of retail. We are looking for someone who is comfortable managing employees, monitoring sales performance, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, and being actively present on the sales floor.

This is a hands-on management position for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and understands what it takes to successfully operate and grow a retail location.

• Manage all day-to-day store operations and ensure the location runs efficiently.
• Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
• Hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop sales associates.
• Create employee schedules and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Set clear expectations for employees and monitor individual and team performance.
• Coach and motivate the sales team to deliver strong results.
• Drive store sales and work toward established weekly and monthly targets.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
• Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor and assist customers and employees as needed.
• Ensure a consistently high level of customer service.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, replenishment, and stock organization.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure merchandise is available and properly displayed.
• Maintain clean, organized, attractive, and commercially effective merchandise displays.
• Ensure merchandising standards are consistently maintained throughout the store.
• Oversee cash handling, registers, deposits, and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate records related to sales, inventory, cash, and store operations.
• Implement procedures to minimize shrinkage, inventory loss, and operational errors.
• Monitor store expenses and identify opportunities to control costs.
• Ensure the store remains clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready.
• Prepare and communicate sales and operational reports to ownership.
• Address operational issues quickly and take ownership of resolving problems.
• Perform additional management responsibilities as needed to support continued store growth.

• Previous retail management or store management experience required.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Experience hiring, training, scheduling, and managing retail employees.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales and work toward performance targets.
• Knowledge of inventory management, receiving, replenishment, and merchandising.
• Experience with cash handling and daily reconciliation procedures.
• Strong understanding of customer service and retail operations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
