Production Manager

Monmouth County NJ: fast-growing consumer products company that develops innovative products across Home, Décor, Lighting, Tech, Toys, and Seasonal categories. We work with many of the nation's largest retailers and are constantly bringing new ideas to market.
We're looking for a highly organized, creative, and driven Product Development & Sourcing Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys turning ideas into successful retail products.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from concept through production.
• Source new products and factories, primarily in China and other overseas markets.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories regarding pricing, samples, timelines, packaging, and quality.
• Negotiate product costs and improve margins.
• Manage product samples, approvals, and revisions.
• Work closely with our sales and design teams to develop products for major retailers.
• Research market trends, competitor products, and new opportunities.
• Prepare costing sheets, product specifications, and development timelines.
• Coordinate packaging, testing, compliance, and production requirements.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, or importing consumer products.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers, especially China.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with home products, lighting, electronics, toys, or general merchandise is a strong plus.
