Manager
Part Time! Brooklyn Play space is looking to hire an experienced, proactive team member to oversee day-to-day operations of our children’s sensory gym while helping grow the business through outreach, partnerships, and marketing.
During school hours the gym is quieter, and that time is used for outreach, grassroots marketing, and business development that drives awareness and bookings, including local promotions, flyer distribution, community partnerships, and representing the gym at events. The right person takes ownership, identifies opportunities, and executes without constant direction while keeping daily operations running smoothly. Potential Commission on new sales.
Core Responsibilities
Operations Management
•
Open and close the gym and manage daily operations
•
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment
•
Coordinate setup and execution for birthday parties, field trips, and events
Sales & Business Development
•
Make outbound calls to leads, past customers, schools, camps, and community organizations
•
Follow up on party and event inquiries and convert leads into bookings
•
Build relationships with local schools, agencies, and organizations
Marketing & Social Media Oversight
•
Plan and execute grassroots marketing initiatives that increase awareness and bookings
•
Oversee a small team of social media interns, reviewing content and providing direction
•
Identify partnerships, outreach opportunities, and promotions that drive bookings
What We're Looking For
•
Experience in operations, sales, marketing, or business development
•
Strong communication skills and confidence making outreach calls
•
Understanding of social media and business growth
•
Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
•
Comfortable managing interns or part-time staff
•
Coachable, proactive, and able to take ownership
Schedule & Compensation
•
3–4 days per week, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
•
$25–$30 per hour depending on experience
•
Schedule may vary based on availability
•
Additional performance incentives may be offered
