Position Overview
A family in the Midwood area of Brooklyn is seeking a responsible, reliable, and caring Babysitter / Nanny to provide occasional care for their sweet 7-year-old daughter.
This is a great opportunity for a mature older high school student, college student, or other dependable individual who enjoys spending time with children and is looking for flexible, occasional babysitting hours.
The ideal candidate is warm, trustworthy, punctual, and able to keep a child engaged in a safe, positive, and fun environment.
Schedule
This is an occasional, part-time position with hours that may include:
Fridays after school – Meet the child at the bus stop and stay with her at home for approximately one hour until the parents return from work.
Erev Yom Tov – Full-day coverage on certain days when school is closed.
Chol Hamoed – Occasional daytime babysitting as needed.
Additional occasional babysitting opportunities may be available based on the family's needs and the candidate's availability.
Responsibilities
Meet the child at the bus stop and safely accompany her home when scheduled.
Provide attentive and responsible supervision.
Keep the child engaged through age-appropriate activities, games, reading, crafts, and play.
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and positive environment.
Follow the family's routines and instructions.
Prepare or provide simple snacks when needed.
Maintain clear communication with parents regarding scheduling and any important updates.
Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times.
Provide occasional full-day care when school is closed.
