A wholesale company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Office Assistant for a 4–5 day/week role. This position involves a mix of accounting and clerical responsibilities, supporting daily business operations. The role can be based in NYC or Brooklyn, with potential for remote work over time.

Position Type: Full-Time / 4–5 Days Per Week
Job Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours (flexible schedule)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R): invoicing, customer follow-ups/collections, cash application, bank reconciliations, and deposits
  • Handle Accounts Payable (A/P): vendor invoice verification, entry, and payment processing
  • Perform general office duties including order entry and office maintenance
  • Communicate with third-party warehouses regarding inventory adjustments, deliveries, and pickups

Specific Qualifications and/or Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a wholesale environment (required)
  • Experience with Sage 100 (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage both accounting and administrative responsibilities
  • Good communication and follow-up skills

Salary:
Starting at $60,000 annually
