Provide administrative support to psychiatric providers in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role focuses on scheduling, communication, and general administrative coordination to support the efficient day-to-day operations of the psychiatric team.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Maintain and update provider calendars
Respond to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and other providers as needed
Assist with processing patient requests (e.g., letters for schools, agencies, etc.)
Maintain basic tracking spreadsheets for appointments and follow-ups
Run routine reports as requested
Support documentation processes in accordance with applicable standards
Monitor controlled substance reports as directed
Provide occasional front desk coverage when needed
Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Clear written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer and typing proficiency
Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems (experience with AWARDS or similar systems a plus)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to time-critical issues
Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Reliable and responsive
Prior administrative experience preferred; healthcare experience is a plus
Undergraduate degree or preferred, or undergraduate enrollment
