Brooklyn, New York

Full Time , 60000

Chief of Staff / Executive Assistant

Location: Brooklyn, NY (In Person)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Salary: Based on experience

We are a lean, entrepreneurial portfolio company focused on acquiring and growing premium consumer brands, including our flagship leader in premium merino wool apparel. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Chief of Staff / Executive Assistant to work directly with our Managing Director.

This is not a traditional administrative role. You will act as a trusted partner, moving comfortably between executive support and hands-on business execution across operations, finance, legal, and HR. We are open to an experienced professional or a highly capable candidate ready to step up and grow into broader responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate directly with the Managing Director to organize, prioritize, and drive key business initiatives.

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects, manage schedules, prepare meeting materials, and track action items to ensure organizational accountability.

  • Support day-to-day operations, including tracking business dashboards, managing subscription platforms, and handling company certifications.

  • Coordinate business insurance, company policies, and corporate legal matters in partnership with outside counsel.

  • Manage HR administration, including payroll support, PTO tracking, onboarding, and recruiting processes.

  • Assist with finance and accounting workflows, including AP/AR tracking, monthly close preparation, sales tax coordination, and sales commission reports.

  • Support relationships with external bookkeepers, tax partners, and lenders.

Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting an executive, founder, or senior business leader, ideally in a fast-paced startup or ecommerce environment.

  • Outstanding organizational, project management, and follow-through skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to communicate with senior leaders and hold others accountable to deadlines.

  • Strong business literacy and comfort handling confidential HR, financial, and legal data.

  • Resourceful problem solver who can work independently and figure things out with minimal direction.

What We Offer:
  • A direct, visible impact on a growing portfolio of premium consumer brands.

  • Close mentorship from our Managing Director with clear room to expand your operational responsibilities.

  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced team culture.
