Position Overview
A synagogue in Elberon, NJ is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer for a part-time summer position. This role is ideal for someone with mid-level graphic design skills who can maintain consistent branding while producing polished weekly communications and promotional materials.
The selected candidate will primarily update existing templates for weekly schedules and sponsorship announcements, create graphics for special events, and distribute approved content across multiple digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Update weekly schedules and sponsorship announcements using existing design templates.
- Create visually appealing flyers and promotional materials for special events.
- Ensure all designs maintain a consistent and professional brand identity.
- Submit proofs for review and incorporate revisions as needed.
- Prepare final approved designs for distribution.
- Send weekly communications through Mailchimp.
- Publish approved content on Instagram and WhatsApp.
- Organize and maintain digital design files and templates.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure timely completion of weekly projects.
Qualifications
- Mid-level experience with graphic design and digital content creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign), Canva, or similar design software.
- Experience working with Mailchimp or other email marketing platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with Instagram and WhatsApp for business communications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established design templates.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to incorporate feedback.
