Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Wholesale Sales Associate to join our growing home décor team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, generating sales, and supporting the entire order process from initial inquiry through final delivery. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced wholesale environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
- Present new product ideas and collaborate with internal teams to support product development initiatives.
- Prepare customer presentations, pricing proposals, and negotiate pricing with clients.
- Manage customer purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Track orders, delivery schedules, and customer purchase orders while providing regular updates.
- Maintain order worksheets, spreadsheets, and sales documentation.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, deliveries, product approvals, and updates.
- Coordinate with overseas production teams regarding production schedules, quantity changes, shipping timelines, and product updates.
- Monitor inventory availability, stock orders, and shipment releases.
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, packaging, and operations teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Analyze customer needs and identify opportunities to expand product offerings and increase sales.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales reports.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of wholesale sales experience required.
- Experience within the home décor, home goods, giftware, or consumer products industry preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple customer accounts and identify business growth opportunities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
