Position Overview
A growing law firm in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Title Coordinator to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions across real estate, corporate, healthcare, title, and business-related matters.
The firm is open to candidates at various experience levels and is looking for someone who is organized, professional, and eager to grow their career. A paralegal certificate is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with real estate, corporate, healthcare, title, and business transactions.
Support transactional matters from initial documentation through closing and post-closing.
Prepare, organize, review, and maintain legal and transaction-related documents.
Assist with real estate and title-related documentation and coordination.
Track transaction deadlines, outstanding documents, approvals, and closing requirements.
Prepare and maintain closing checklists and transaction files.
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, counterparties, and other professionals.
Assist with corporate documents, organizational records, agreements, and supporting materials.
Support due diligence and document review processes.
Follow up with clients and outside parties regarding outstanding information and documentation.
Maintain organized and accurate electronic and physical matter files.
Assist with closing and post-closing documentation.
Manage multiple active transactions while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Provide additional legal and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in real estate, title, corporate, healthcare, business transactions, or related legal work is helpful.
Paralegal, title coordination, legal assistant, or similar experience is preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple transactions, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
Professional and comfortable communicating with attorneys, clients, and outside parties.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.
