Production Coordinator
Woodbridge, New Jersey | Full-Time, In-Office |Salary: $80,000-$120,000, based on experience
Growing home products company focused on developing, sourcing, and bringing innovative consumer products to market. Our business spans lighting, home decor, seasonal products, and related categories, with a strong emphasis on product development, quality, speed, and execution. We are based in Woodbridge, New Jersey, with showroom offices in New York City and work closely with manufacturing
partners around the world.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Production Coordinator who wants to build a career in product development, sourcing, and production. This is not simply an administrative coordinator role. The right person will become an important part of the product team and will help move products from initial concept and quotation through sampling, packaging, testing, production, and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate product development and production projects from concept through final production.
• Communicate directly with overseas suppliers and factories regarding quotations, samples, specifications, costs, timelines, and production status.
• Track multiple projects simultaneously and proactively follow up on deadlines, approvals, samples,
packaging, testing, and production milestones.
• Assist with sourcing and evaluating new suppliers and factories and support cost and commercial
negotiations.
• Maintain accurate product specifications, costing information, production details, and supporting
documentation.
• Coordinate packaging and artwork development with internal design resources and overseas partners.
• Help manage product testing, compliance requirements, certifications, and related documentation.
• Review samples carefully for quality, construction, finish, function, packaging, and consistency with
approved specifications.
• Maintain organized product and project information using systems such as Airtable, Sage X3, Excel, and
other internal tools.
• Work cross-functionally with sales, design, operations, logistics, and management to keep projects moving and resolve issues quickly.
• Prepare and coordinate samples and product information for internal reviews, presentations, trade shows, and customer meetings.
• Identify potential production risks early and take ownership of follow-up until issues are resolved.
Global Collaboration & Travel
This position is based full-time in our Woodbridge, New Jersey office. Standard daytime business hours apply; however, because we work closely with overseas factories and suppliers, occasional flexibility for early-morning or evening calls is expected. The position may also include occasional travel to domestic and international trade shows, as well as opportunities to travel overseas to visit factories and suppliers.
Qualifications
• Approximately 2-5+ years of relevant experience in production, product development, sourcing, purchasing, or a related consumer-products role.
• Strong project-management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence communicating with overseas suppliers.
• Ability to manage many products and deadlines at the same time without losing track of details.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort learning and working within ERP, database, and project-management
systems.
• Experience with consumer products, home decor, lighting, seasonal products, or mass-market goods is a
plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; strong relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset - someone who follows through, asks questions, solves problems, and wants to grow.
Compensation, Benefits & Growth
• Competitive salary of $80,000-$120,000, based on experience.
• Health insurance and company benefits.
• Paid time off (PTO).
• 401(k) program.
• Company-sponsored learning and professional development opportunities.
• Exposure to international sourcing, product development, manufacturing, and global business.
• Opportunity to grow into greater product, sourcing, and production responsibility as the business expands.
