About the Role
The day-to-day role of the merchandise allocator is to effectively manage the allocation process of various accounts for specific brands on a timely manner. Making sure inventory is aligned with orders and that the allocation is managed accurately. Work closely with warehouses and resolve issues related to outbound shipments
How You’ll Contribute
Manage purchase orders from initial bulk allocation through end-of-life cycle of merchandise, including daily review, maintenance and release of sales orders, follow through with shipments
Analyze sales data and stock availability to execute accurate and timely allocations
Coordinate with warehouse on outbound deliveries. Push for start ship dates but minimize if not total avoidance of requests for extensions. Make certain for hot shipments that there is dialog with the DC to make sure they can achieve or revert to sales teams for extensions before dropping.
Review inventory history and perform stock adjustments and transfers as needed.
Update inventory based on cycle counts
Follow up with traffic department on incoming shipments
Liaison between sales and warehouses
Answering sales inquiries
Special projects and follow through
Manage overall system data integrity with focus on sales orders.
Communicate daily with Order Management Manager, as well as Sales & Warehouse counterparts to review customer delivery issues.
What you Bring to the team
At least 5 years of experience in Allocation
Understanding of the wholesale apparel business and 3PL model
Excel skills and numeric ability.· Highly organized – with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
