Food vendor is looking for an energetic and reliable individual to join our team as a Canteen Associate for the upcoming summer camp season. This is a perfect opportunity for a student or someone active looking to gain experience in retail and customer service in a fun, fast paced camp environment. You will be responsible for the daily operation of our camp canteen, ensuring that our campers have a great experience when they come in for their snacks.
The canteen is open for 2 to 3 hours daily, and your 4 hour shift will allow for plenty of time to handle the essential "behind the scenes" tasks that keep us running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:Handle daily set up and attractive merchandising of snacks, drinks, and camp apparel.
Provide friendly and efficient service to campers and staff during peak operating hours.
Process transactions accurately using cash and internal account charging systems.
Monitor inventory levels and resupply shelves throughout the shift.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment for the next day of operation.
Identify low stock items and create reorder lists for management.
Must be active, outgoing, and comfortable working in a high energy youth environment.
Strong basic math skills for tendering cash and managing account balances.
Ability to work independently and stay on task during prep and cleanup times.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Reliable transportation to camp locations within Monmouth County.
